Dr. Mahfooz Ali Ph.D. in Economics from University of Southern California, CA, USA; MA in Economics from Vanderbilt University, TN, USA; and MA in Economics from Aligarh University, India. Worked in senior capacity with various national and international financial institutions including Head of Research Training & Development at United Bank Limited; Head of Training & Development at Middle East Bank Ltd. (Dubai); President of Owena Bank Nigeria; and, President of Credit and Leasing Corporation, Pakistan. He also served as a senior member of the IBA-Karachi faculty as well as served as the first Pro Vice Chancellor of University of Karachi. Dr. Mahfooz has published numerous research articles including Sharakat and Modarbat as basis of Interest-Free banking in Journal of Islamic Banking & Finance in July 1986; Gold crisis, the price of gold and world liquidity 7 in 1968; The impact of the United States economic aid on the economic development of Pakistan; Price controls, black markets and the economic efficiency of a two-tier price system; Emerging problems and practices of management in large complex organisations; and, Realignment of the rupee: delinking from the sterling and linking with the dollar in the Journal of the Institute of Bankers in Pakistan.

Dr. Ausaf Ali, Ph.D. in Economics and Master of Accounting from University of Southern California, CA, USA; MBA from Institute of Business Administration, Karachi; and, M.Com. from University of Karachi. Dr. Ausaf Ali taught in the business colleges in Karachi and was a professor at the Institute of Business Administration – Karachi. He also worked in government and industry in Pakistan and in the United States he entered the civil service of the City of Los Angeles from which he retired in 1998. Dr. Ausaf Ali has published both in Pakistan and the United States over the last thirty-five years. His publications include Modern Muslim Thought (Two Volumes); Islam, Science and Islamic Social Ethics’, Broader Dimensions of the Ideology of Pakistan’, and Studies Towards an Understanding of the Developmental Perspective and numerous articles. He edited Sirah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh): Contemporary Meaning and Relevance, 1994 and co-edited Social Sciences, Muslims and Pakistan: Beyond Today (1995).

Professor Dr. Khawaja Amjad Saeed M.Com, LLB (Pb); MBA (Lebanon); Ph.D (USA); FCMA; FCA Chartered Accountant; Cost & Management Accountant; Chartered Manager and Chartered Secretary., renowned educationist, is accredited with the establishment of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of University of Punjab and Hailey College of Banking and Finance. He represented Pakistan on the Finance and the Management Accounting Committee of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) (1988-90) and also presented various papers at national, regional and international levels. IFAC, New York honored him twice with Appreciation Scrolls for his services to Accounting on World Wide Basis. He has served as the President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan.

Prof. Mohammad Rais Alvi has served in senior capacity at a number of higher education institutes including Karachi University as Registrar and has been the first leader of the charter committee. He was also Additional Secretary-Education and Education Development Officer (EDO-Karachi) with the Government of Sindh. He has also served as the vice chancellor of Shehbaz Qalandar University and was also the Rector of New Ports University. A very well-known name in the academia he has been awarded for his contributions by both the local and international institutes. He has also written various books on Urdu and Japanese literature and poetry. Five of his books have been published from Japan alone.

Prof. Dr. Anwer Irshad Burney, Ph.D. in Economics and M.A. in Economics from University of Karachi. Dr. Burney also holds LLB from University of Karachi and is a practicing lawyer with the Sindh High Court. He has also served as Professor at various commerce colleges in Karachi including Government College of Commerce & Economics and National College. He has also served as Dean of Business Administration at Newports Institute and KASBIT. He has taught and been Head Examiner of Economics and Corporate Law at Institute of Bankers of Pakistan, Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and University of Karachi. He has published various research articles and books on Management and is currently serving as registered Ph.D. supervisor with Higher Education Commission (HEC).

MBA from University of Central Oklahoma, OK, USA; and,B.E. from NED University of Engineering & Technology. Ms. Surani has held Senior Project Management positions in USA with Compudyne, Sony Corp., TRS Consultants and Amman & Whitney. She has been instrumental in the foundation of the College of Banking & Finance and has served as the College Principal at both the undergraduate and graduate level for the first twelve years.

Enrolled in Ph.D. at University of Karachi; MBA from University of Central Oklahoma, OK, USA; and, B.S. from Roosevelt University, Chicago, IL, USA. Extensive experience at mid and senior level management positions in banking and corporate sector with Citibank (USA), Al Mashreq Bank (New York), Banque National de Paris (USA), Powell Industries (USA), ICMAP (Pakistan) & NIB Bank, Ltd (Pakistan).

MBA from Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education, MPA, LLB & Master of Pharmacy from University of Karachi & MD from University of Santiago Central America over three decades of Sales, Marketing, Brand Management and Training & Development experience with various MNCs’ in Pakistan, Middle East, Europe, and North America. Worked as permanent and visiting faculty member at University of Karachi, Sheikh Zayed Islamic Center, Bahria University and Dow Institute of Management Sciences.

MS in Strategic Business Management from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK; and BS from University of Karachi. ACMA qualified with CIMA-UK and CFA Level 2 qualified with CFA Institute (USA). Worked in financial management with Shakarganj Foods, Coca Cola, PepsiCo, and Tetra Pak. Visiting faculty member of NED-UET, University of Karachi and Institute of Business Management (CBM).

MBA from Karachi University Business School, M.Com. from University of Karachi, and M.Phil. from Hamdard University. He has served in SIEMENS Pakistan, Shaheen Air International and Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan in commercial, corporate and educational capacities and has also been associated with several renowned institutions i. e. Karachi university Business school, Iqra University, Bahria University and Cams as a visiting faculty member.
